Young adult male available to approved home

I have a beautiful 2 year old male whippet that I have decieded to part with to just the right home. He is fawn and white, big and elegant and has been shown in conformation. Litter expected first week in May

Here is a photo of mom to be, Rowan. She is Appraxin Rowan Wood of Sowagla and has been bred to Sel. CH Fleetwood Return To Sendr, Jake. This is a co-breeding with Calvin G. Perry of Appraxin fame. We are both looking forward to what should be a beautiful and colorful litter. Stay tuned for news of these babies.

North Carolina tornadoes, all OK here

Last Saturday was quite a day here in North Carolina as many of you have seen by the news. I have recieved so many phone calls and emails from friends far and wide. Yes, we are all OK with no damage at all to home or property. It wasn't the case though in other parts of Sanford and the damage is even more incredible seeing it in person than it is on television. I know you have seen photos of the Lowe's home improvement store, but other factories and buildings in the path were even more damaged, flattened some of them. There are going to be a lot of people out of work for a while and as well as people displaced whose homes were so damaged and destroyed. My prayers are with them.Yvonne

Jake kids doing great in the ring.....

Several youngsters sired by my Jake, Sel. Ch. Fleetwood Return To Sendr, are hitting the rings and doing well. This past weekend, Magic, owned by Todd Miller and bred by Sue Vernon, Todd and Barb Wayne, got his first point going WD, BOW & BOB. Dam of that litter was the beautiful Luna, Top 20 winner, CH Moongaze Jomyr Some Splainin Ta Do. A couple weekends ago at the Arizona Whippet Association specialties, littermate Kobe (Summit Above The Rim), shown in photo above, and owned by Sue Vernon did great. He got two major reserves from the puppy class and then WD & BOW as well as BOS and BBE for a 4 or 5 point major. He is racking up the points now. And in Florida, Ann Myers got first point on her Jake daughter, Sportingfield N Sowagla Maiden Dance, AKA Deirdre. Congrats to all!!!!

Litter sired by Myles

Here are 3 of the 8 pups sired by my Myles, Sel. Ch. Sowagla Quicksilver To Taejaan. The mother is Rajo Dance On Darling and the litter was bred by Jo Pelton in Southwest Virginia. Can you believe all 8 puppies were females? They are so cute and love people. These 3 are spoken for but if you have any interest in the rest of the litter, let me know and I can put you in contact with Jo. The dam Juba, goes back closely to Appraxin lines and overall the pedigree shows lots of foreign influence with dogs from England, Australia and NZ.

Here is how Patchouli is developing. She is 8 months old now and going to conformtion classes. What a wild thing she can be! We are getting ready for her first show which is the American Whippet Club National Specialty in just a couple weeks. Road trip soon....
