Litter sired by Myles

Here are 3 of the 8 pups sired by my Myles, Sel. Ch. Sowagla Quicksilver To Taejaan. The mother is Rajo Dance On Darling and the litter was bred by Jo Pelton in Southwest Virginia. Can you believe all 8 puppies were females? They are so cute and love people. These 3 are spoken for but if you have any interest in the rest of the litter, let me know and I can put you in contact with Jo. The dam Juba, goes back closely to Appraxin lines and overall the pedigree shows lots of foreign influence with dogs from England, Australia and NZ.

And my beautiful Patchouli

Here is how Patchouli is developing. She is 8 months old now and going to conformtion classes. What a wild thing she can be! We are getting ready for her first show which is the American Whippet Club National Specialty in just a couple weeks. Road trip soon....

Arrival of a beautiful batch of brindles

Announcing the arrival on Dec. 1 of a new litter of 5 pups, 3 boys and 2 girls. This litter is a co-breeding with Paige Zalnoski of Dynia whippets. Paige and I co-bred the sire CH Dynia Sowagla Oberon. Oberon was one of 4 to finish their championships in that litter. Dam of this litter is Raven, Moonbeam Sowagla N Sportingfld Gothic Girl. Here are pics of both sire and dam as well as Raven and her pups right after the birthing.

Faith gets a second major this past weekend

Under long time breeder judge Dr. John Shelton. It was at the Asheville Kennel Club on Sunday and a nice 4 pointer.

New Champion photo

Merlin's finishing photo, I am so proud of this sweet boy. And I think this photo turned out really well. Merlin was completely owner/breeder handled to his championship which makes it extra sweet.

What an exciting weekend at the Mid Atlantic Hound Club shows. My Merlin finished his Championship going WD and BOW for a major. As always Merlin was show by me. He is now CH Sowagla Appraxin Makin' Magic. Just as exciting, my Faith, Sporting Fields What Ever was WB for a major as well. I have been waiting to show Faith and now it looks like she is ready!
To top off the day, a litter I have co-bred with Ute Soles and Calvin Perry was born. 5 girls and 2 boys. Sire is CH Fleetwood Return To Sendr, dam is Appraxin Sowagla Hearts Desire. They are beautiful babies with a variety of markings. Watch here for updates.

Congrats Barb and Andre!

Congratulations are in order for Barb Timm and Andre. Andre is from the Myles/Buffy litter and is 7 months old. He went Winners Dog for 2 points on his first show weekend. I know this team is going to make me proud.

New Champion

It has been a while since I have posted, things have been crazy and busy but good. On December 4, in Winston-Salem my Koda finished her championship. I just got the photo today. She is CH Sachem Remarque by Sowagla, bred by Paula Miles. Her sire is my Sel. CH Fleetwood Return To Sendr and her dam is CH Sowagla Dynia Galadriel.

Puppies all leaving for new homes

Sonya and Heather will be leaving on Monday, Andre on Saturday and Mimi next week, just leaving me with my keeper Perdita. It is always sad to see the pups leave, but happy that they are going to such good homes.

Big Litter Announcement

And I mean BIG, with capital letters. Buffy's pups were born in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday. There are 12 pups! What a surprise! There are 7 girls and 5 boys with a variety of color, some solids and some parti-colors.

Robbie is here and other news

Robbie, or Sachem Sowagla Highland Rogue has arrived, had fun hanging out at his first show and had his first official photo shoot by Katie Rudolph of Festiva Photography.

He is very bright and has quite the personality, I am thrilled.

In other news, beautiful Buffy is definitely in whelp and due mid-June. I think this is going to be a very exciting litter with a wonderful pedigree that crosses my American/Australian line with the Shamasan and Hound Hill dual purpose dogs.

I also have some young adults that are available to the right, special homes.
